The Shipping Corporation of India Q4FY22 and Year Ended result : PAT surges up 77.43% to ₹152 Cr YoY

Shipping Corporation of India Ltd was incorporated on March 24 1950 as Eastern Shipping Corporation Ltd, which is now one of India’s largest shipping in terms of Indian flagged tonnage. The company is a company owned by the Government of India based in Mumbai that operates and manages vessels that services both national and international lines. The company has operating interests in practically all areas of the shipping business; servicing both national and international trades. As on 31 March 2019 the company has one subsidiary Company and has six Joint Ventures.

The company’s owned fleet includes Bulk carriers Crude oil tankers Product tankers Container vessels Passenger-cum-Cargo vessels Phosphoric Acid /Chemical carriers LPG / Ammonia carriers and Offshore Supply Vessels. In addition the company manages a large number of vessels on behalf of various government departments and organizations. SCI‘s worldwide operations are supported by offices in the four metros of India namely Mumbai Delhi Chennai and Kolkata and they also have an office in London. The company has posted its Q4FY22 and year ended financial results today, the details are as below :

(I) Audited Consolidated Financial Results for Quarter Ended (YoY comparison):

The company has reported, a consolidated Total Income of ₹1,364.62 crore in the quarter ended on March 31, 2022 as against ₹900.73 crore in the corresponding quarter ended last year on Mar 31, 2021, increased by 51.50%.

The company has posted a consolidated Net Profit of ₹152.16 crore in the quarter ended on March 31, 2022 as against ₹85.76 crore in the corresponding quarter ended in last year on Mar 31, 2021. The PAT surges up by 77.43%.

The status of the EPS of the company stood at ₹3.27 as on March 31, 2022 compared to the previous quarter ended on Mar 31, 2021 which was ₹1.84, up by 77.12%.

The company has reported, a consolidated Total Income of ₹5,098.98 crore in the financial year ended on March 31, 2022 as against ₹3,828.85 crore for the financial year ended on Mar 31, 2021, increased by 33.17%.

The company has posted a consolidated Net Profit of ₹865.22 crore in the financial year ended on March 31, 2022 as against ₹696.09 crore for the financial year ended on March 31, 2021. The PAT surges up by 24.29%.

The status of the EPS of the company stood at ₹18.57 as on March 31, 2022 compared to the previous year ended on March 31, 2021 which was ₹14.94, up by 24.29%.
